Restoranlarda, kafelerde ve barlarda hesap tutarının %10'u kadar bahşiş bırakmak genel bir kuraldır . Hesaplar her zaman bir tabakta, kutuda veya bir tür kitapçık içinde masanıza getirilir. Mekanların %99'unda hesabı kredi kartınızla ödeyebilirsiniz, ancak kredi kartınızla ödeme yapmadan önce orijinal hesaba ek bir miktar eklemek (henüz) mümkün değildir. Bahşiş için yanınızda bir miktar nakit bulundurmaya hazırlıklı olun.

Ancak bahşişin beklendiği yerler sadece restoranlar, kafeler ve barlar değildir. Otel personeline, hamallara, kuaförlere ve müzisyenlere de bahşiş vermek adettir.
