İstanbul'daki Anglikan Kilisesi

Lord Stratford Canning, bu Anglikan Kilisesi'nin (Kırım Kilisesi olarak da bilinir) temellerini 1856'da atmıştır. Kilise , Kırım Savaşı'na katılan İngiliz askerlerinin anısına inşa edilmiş ve Sultan Abdülmecid ( 1823-1861 ) tarafından bağışlanmıştır.

Kilise tamamen taştan yapılmış olup Malta'dan esinlenilmiş neo-gotik bir mimari tarza sahiptir. (İstanbul gezinizden sonra harika bir yer!) Kilise, cemaatinin azalması nedeniyle 1971'de kapatılmış ve 1991'de Sri Lankalı mülteciler tarafından Anglikan Kilisesi'nden bir rahibin önderliğinde dini hizmetler için yeniden açılmıştır.
