الكنيسة الأنجليكانية في اسطنبول

وضع اللورد ستراتفورد كانينغ حجر الأساس لهذه الكنيسة الأنجليكانية (المعروفة أيضًا باسم كنيسة القرم) في عام 1856. وقد تم بناؤها تخليدًا لذكرى الجنود الإنجليز الذين شاركوا في حرب القرم، وقد تم تمويلها من قبل السلطان عبد المجيد ( 1823 - 1861 ).

الكنيسة مبنية بالكامل من الحجر، وتتميز بطراز معماري قوطي حديث مستوحى من مالطا. (وجهة رائعة بعد رحلتك إلى إسطنبول!) أُغلقت الكنيسة عام ١٩٧١ بسبب تناقص عدد المصلين، ثم أُعيد افتتاحها عام ١٩٩١ تحت إشراف كاهن من الكنيسة الأنجليكانية على يد لاجئين سريلانكيين لإقامة الشعائر الدينية.
