Biserica asiriană Fecioara Maria

Este situată pe strada Karakurum din cartierul Tarlabaşı din Beyoğlu. Comunitatea asiriană a cumpărat terenul pe care a fost construită biserica în secolul al XIX-lea . Conform surselor armene, acolo a existat o biserică între anii 1650 și 1780. Biserica a fost reconstruită pe 6 septembrie 1863 și a fost deschisă pentru slujbe religioase, fiind folosită atât de armeni, cât și de asirieni ca sanctuar comun. În 1870 , biserica a fost grav avariată într-un incendiu și a fost restaurată și renovată pe larg în 1878.

Vechea clădire a bisericii a fost demolată în 1961 și ulterior reconstruită și redeschisă pentru slujbe religioase într-o ceremonie specială în 1961. Este un exemplu elegant de zidărie în stilul orașului Mardin , situat în sud-estul Turciei. Această măiestrie este evidentă în special în capitelurile coloanelor încoronate folosite în biserică. Pe lângă clădirea bisericii, există o anexă care conține o școală bisericească și o secție administrativă.
