If you haven’t heard what Turkish Marbling or Ebru is, go check it out, because I’m sure you’ll love it! There is a chance for you to actually make an art piece of your own with Ebru workshop !
Ebru art is made through colorful composition on a concentrated liquid, which seems like ordinary water, but it is far from that. The masters of this craft prepare it by adding tragacanth and cattle bile, which found in East and South-East regions of Turkey. This addition makes the water concentrated, so when you drop the paint onto the water it literally swims on it. You drop the paint onto the water through brushes, through tapping it gently. This craft is thought to be coming from China, although there are no precise documents that proves that. In any way, it is a magical craft where you can create wonders! In this workshop, you’ll be learning about the history and techniques of Ebru, as well as creating your own piece!
The workshop takes place in Les Arts Turcs, which is only 30 minutes by car from the hotel. You can enjoy the facilities the hotel offers you after a day of a unique and interactive Turkish experience!
