Very convenient combo for seeing four important places. The Topkapi host gave us a useful introduction, while we could explore Dolmabahce, Hagia Sophia and the Cistern at our own pace.
We used two days for everything and that was the best choice. Topkapi and Dolmabahce both need time, while Hagia Sophia and Basilica Cistern were easier to combine in one afternoon.
A great mix of Byzantine and Ottoman history. Seeing Topkapi and Dolmabahce in the same package made the difference between the two palaces especially interesting.
The Basilica Cistern was magical and Dolmabahce was much bigger than expected. Topkapi was crowded, but meeting the host first made the entrance easier.
