  • The museum is open daily between 09:00 – 17:30, but hours may vary on national or religious holidays.

  • An audio guide is available in 25 languages. To avoid connection issues, download it in advance as Wi-Fi is not available inside the museum.

  • Large bags, suitcases, or sharp objects are not permitted for security reasons.

  • Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Valid ID may be requested at the entrance.

  • Expect security checks before entry, and lines may be longer during weekends or peak tourist seasons.

  • The museum is located on a slope near Topkapi Palace. Wear comfortable shoes, as you will walk between different museum buildings.

  • Photography without flash is allowed in most areas, but some exhibits may have restrictions.

  • Please note that some areas of the museum are currently unavailable due to ongoing restoration works. Access to parts of the main building, all upper floor galleries, and certain exhibition spaces is restricted.
