Morning Tour Program
Join us as we tour the Golden Horn area in a comfortable bus to see the heart of the Old City of Constantinople. This was the area first colonised by the Byzantines. We will continue on to Balat and Fener where many Jewish and other non-Muslim minorities were resettled during the Ottoman period. You'll see the cast-iron Bulgarian Orthodox church of St Stephen, the Jewish Hospital, Fener Orthodox Patriarchate and the Byzantine City Walls which stretch for 22 kilometres and were once the city's strongest fortification.
Then we'll come to the Spice Bazaar, locally known as the Egyptian Bazaar, at Eminonu. Breathe in the delicious aromas and see all the fresh produce including fruit, vegetables, fish and flowers. From here, we'll hop on our boat and sail around the Golden Horn to the Bosphorus Strait. Let the cruise begin!
The Bosphorus Strait is a natural body of water that separates the continents of Asia and Europe and provides a beautiful view of both parts of the city. Take a seat and get your camera ready as you'll get the best view of Istanbul's landmarks from the sea! Admire the marble facade of Dolmabahce Palace and see the ancient wooden Ottoman villas, expensive residential areas, luxurious hotels and Rumeli Hisari Fortress (from the boat only, no interior visit). It will be a very enjoyable morning! The tour will end at Taksim Square.
Afternoon Tour Program
The afternoon tour begins with a stunning Bosphorus cruise where you'll get a great view of Istanbul's beautiful attractions. Dolmabahce Palace, Ortakoy Mosque, the Bosphorus Bridge and Rumeli Hisari Fortress are just a few of them. Then we'll sail to our port and hop on a bus to start the tour of the Golden Horn.
