  • Blue Mosque: It is dubbed the Blue Mosque because of over 20,000 handmade ceramic Iznik tiles that decorate the interior, featuring many different tulip, rose, carnation, and lily designs, well lit by 260 windows.

  • Topkapi Palace: Initially constructed between 1460 and 1478 by Sultan Mehmed II, the conqueror of Constantinople, and expanded upon and altered many times throughout its long history, the palace served as the home of the Ottoman sultans and their court until the middle of the 19th century.
  • Bozdoğan Aqueduct: It was built around the late Roman and early Byzantine period. Although the precise date is uncertain, it was probably completed during the reign of Roman emperor Valens at the end of the 4th century.
  • Hagia Sophia: is the former Greek Orthodox Christian patriarchal cathedral, later an Ottoman imperial mosque and now a museum (Ayasofya Müzesi) in Istanbul.

Full Description

This is the best experience to explore the Old City only in 3 hours. We start the day with the Hippodrome which was the social center of the Byzantine Empire. Then we continue with the Blue Mosque was built by Sultan Ahmed I between 1609 – 1616 which is the first mosque with 6 minarets. After that, we will see the Topkapi Palace which was the resident of the Ottoman Sultans located on top of a hill in the Old Peninsula. The next stop is the Hagia Sophia that has spectacular examples of Byzantine architecture. Following that we stop in Gulhane Park that is part of the garden of Topkapi Palace. Then we move to see the Column of Constantine one of the excellent examples of Roman Art & Culture. After that, we will visit to Beyazid Square and Mosque. Following that we see the Sehzade Mosque and Complex which was built between 1543 – 1547 by the order of the Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent. After seeing the Bozdogan Aqueduct,  the last stop is the  Suleymaniye Mosque the greatest mosque of Istanbul was built by architect Sinan between 1550-1557.
