Full Description

Are you wondering how to fit all of Istanbul's "must-see" attractions into one day? This tour is your answer!

You'll be picked up from your hotel and then head to the Roman Hippodrome, where chariot races were held by the Romans and Byzantines. Next, see the spiritual side of Istanbul at the Blue Mosque, which is the only mosque with six minarets and one of the most beautiful Ottoman mosques in the country. Continue on to see the German fountain which was a gift from Kaiser Wilhelm II. Your guide will give you all the interesting information about the Kaiser's relationship with the Orient. Then we come to the highlight of the tour, the Hagia Sophia Museum. You'll be blown away by its 1,500 years of history and amazing architecture. It was built as a church, converted to a mosque and is now a museum for the world to explore and enjoy.

From there, we will head to the Grand Bazaar. You can't leave Istanbul without visiting one of the world's oldest and largest covered bazaars! You'll find a huge collection of traditional and modern products, delicious food, coffees and teas, souvenirs and much more. We'll take you to see a Turkish Handicraft demonstration and then you'll have some free time to browse. Then it will be time for lunch.

After lunch, we will visit Topkapi Palace, the beautiful residence of the Ottoman Sultans and their families and the administrative centre of the Empire for over 400 years. There's even a Religious Relics Chamber which contains items relating to the Prophet Muhammad, Moses and others! It's an amazing collection.

As we leave, you'll see Hagia Irene Church (from the outside) which stands within the walls of Topkapi Palace. It was the main Byzantine Cathedral until Hagia Sophia was completed. Since then, it has had many uses and is now a museum and concert hall. This wonderful day will finish with a visit to Caferaga Medrese and stroll down Sogukcesme Street.

As i checked on the old pictures of the area the ground was so high approximately 2meters. You see the difference when you see the German fountain. Continue to other statues than see.
