Full Description

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to Kasimpasa Port to board your cruise. Starting in the Golden Horn, you'll cruise up the Bosphorus Strait and back, which will take about 2.5 hours in total. During that time, you'll have a great view of Galata Tower, Dolmabahce Palace, Ciragan Palace, Ortakoy Mosque, the Bosphorus Bridge, Rumeli Hisari Fortress and the Anadolu Fortress.

Hop off the boat to explore Kucuksu Palace on the Asian side of Istanbul. It's located in the neighbourhood of Kucuksu which was often featured in old Turkish movies. The Palace, sometimes called Kucuksu Pavillion, was designed by the Armenian architect Nikogos Balyan on the orders of Sultan Abdulmecid and completed in 1857. This is the same architect who designed the beautiful Ortakoy Mosque and you can easily see similarities in the design. The Palace was restored in 1994 and is now a museum so you can see the luxurious and ornate interior for yourself.

Hop back on the boat for the return journey and learn some interesting facts from your guide about the famous landmarks you see. You'll get a particularly good view of the Maiden's Tower, Uskudar and Topkapi Palace on your way back to the Golden Horn.

The tour will finish at Eminonu which is a short walk away from the Spice Bazaar. If you'd like to do this cruise plus a bus tour around the Old City, check out our "Cruise on Bosphorus & City Sightseeing" tour.

This was my second Bosphorus tour. On first one it was so hot. And this one it was rainy. I could not find the middle. :/

Dont forget to have a few of simit. A kind of bagel with sesame. As i knew the seagull are carnivorous but in Istanbul they eat pastry. Even the birds of Istanbul are different. :))
